“Shared purpose” underscores the joint commitment of the Lundin Foundation and Lundin Group companies to operate resource projects responsibly while ensuring benefits positively impact surrounding communities.

Through our collective efforts, sharing best practices and experiences, we are demonstrating the power of shared purpose in driving meaningful change. A highlight of 2024 was the Lundin Foundation’s Sustainability Summit in Sweden, drawing Lundin Group company executives and community professionals from more than a dozen countries to advance our mission of creating positive legacies.

Beyond knowledge sharing, the Lundin Foundation provides sustainability advisory services to Lundin Group companies in the areas of: ESG strategy integration, sustainability standards and reporting, social performance, community economic development and climate change. This comprehensive support ensures resource operations mobilize local economic opportunities and benefit surrounding communities.

The Lundin Foundation assesses untapped market opportunities, identifies positive impact pathways and collaborates with local partners on innovative approaches to community economic development. The Foundation’s programs focus on creating success that goes beyond the life of an individual resource project.

For example, the small businesses supported by the Foundation generated over US$27 million in revenue in 2024, with nearly half of participants being women, showcasing the Foundation’s commitment to female entrepreneurship. Women like Geky Yuliana Vega (pictured above), a young producer from Los Encuentros, Ecuador who joined Somos Semilla (“We Are Seeds”), a support program for agricultural producers in the area surrounding Lundin Gold’s Fruta del Norte mine.
