Lucara is a leading independent producer of large, exceptional Type IIa diamonds from its 100% owned Karowe Mine in Botswana.
The Company has an experienced board and management team with extensive diamond development and operations expertise. The Company’s current Karowe underground expansion project is designed to access the highest value portion of the orebody, extend mine life to at least 2040 and contribute approximately $4B in additional revenues using conservative diamond price assumptions. Karowe is one of the world's foremost producers of high-quality, Type IIA diamonds in excess of 10.8 carats. Most recently, Lucara recovered an epic 2,488 carat diamond at Karowe, one of the largest diamonds ever recovered.
